Turmeric is the vibrant orange-yellow spice affectionately known as the magic sword against inflammation, birthed in India and crowned centuries ago as one of the great dosha balancers in ayurvedic medicine. With all the healing benefits, you can taste the inherent goodness with each sip. It is just as delicious as it is nutritious. Cinnamon is a potent antioxidant with anti-inflammatory compounds that may help relieve pain, boost brain function, helps with blood sugar levels. Ginger helps to relax the body and aids in digestion.
The latter is the most important if you suffer from any type of insomnia, often, when you wake up in the middle of the night, it’s because your blood sugar has dropped precipitously. A lot of the symptoms of low blood sugar are the same symptoms of panic – tightened chest, a shaky feeling, racing mind, having a hard time breathing. Just feeling these symptoms is enough to trick our brains into thinking we’re panicking, and we truly feel anxious – but it’s because first, we were simply experiencing low blood sugar. The coconut oil in the latte prevents these drops, and makes you sleep like a baby through the night. Combine with Your Inner Peace ‘Sleep Ritual’ for a meditative, healing sleep.
